At the weekend, on Chloe’s 5 month birthday, we had her baptised in our local church. It was the same church we had Jessica baptised too which holds a lot of fond memories for us.
Chloe wore the same christening gown too which was actually my wedding dress once. It’s so nice that both girls have got to wear something that meant so much to me and I hope they pass it down to their children too.
The church was full of all our close friends and family and I think there was only just enough seating. We chose for the godparents my two sisters and my hubby’s brother.
The vicars certainly made the service fun for the children by being very enthusiastic during the readings, letting the children choose a bear from the chest and by splashing them all in water.
We had a celebration party afterwards in our local village hall and the whole day was full of fun and laughter.
We had cupcakes and the traditional Danish cake for all to eat as well as a rather large buffet which we’re still finishing.
Chloe certainly is a lucky girl and I’m now trying to find places for all of her kind gifts.
