Balancing work and home life has never been harder than it is today. Sure, we have a plethora of gadgets and machines to do our bidding, but this has only increased the expectations put on the mothers of today. Between being told we should work more, spend more and be with our kids more, there’s not even a question of a little alone time or even a moment to take a breath! Well, it’s about time we use technology to our benefit!

There are new apps being released every day, and while many of them are clunky and useless, others can turn your life around with timesaving and money-saving features. After much searching through junk and ads, I’ve compiled this list of the best new apps to help manage your time and money and come out the other side with enough time for a quiet glass of wine!

  1. Bizby

BizbyOne kid needs a haircut, the other needs a check-up and they both need a babysitter. On top of that, the gutters need cleaning and the car needs an oil change. Sound like a nightmare? Not anymore! Bizzby is an app that allows you to easily search through available services in your area. You can book and pay through the app, so instead of searching the internet, making calls, negotiating, and running around town, you can manage it all with one worry-free click.

  2. Hungry House

How often do you get delivery or takeaway for dinner? At my house, we have a takeaway night at least once a week. It’s a great way to relax and take a night off from cooking and cleaning! Hungry House makes delivery and takeaway easier than ever. They show you all the available restaurants in your area (way more than just pizza and curry), and you can place your order right on the app. No need to call! They even highlight special offers for you, so you’re sure to get the best deal.

  3. Honey

Don’t have time to go to the shops? Once you’ve tried this new app, you won’t want to anymore! Honey works its magic by scouring the internet for coupons and automatically applying them to your basket before you check out. It doesn’t matter what you’re shopping for, and you don’t have to do (or pay) a thing! Just download the app, and whenever a voucher is available, the Honey icon will pop up and let you know how much you’ve saved.

  4. Mopp

MoppMopp has become one of the most popular apps in the UK for its convenience and ease of use. The app is quite simple. It allows you to book and pay for a housecleaner. You simply open the app, schedule a time that works for you, and a trusted cleaner arrives and makes your house sparkle. The great thing about this app is that the rate is fixed at £10 per hour, so there’s no need to worry about price hikes or stressful negotiation.
